Appearance: Zen is a slender young man, his stature being very thin and nimble. He has hair that is kept shaggy and is naturally a forest green color. His complexion is smooth like that of a young adult of his age, and very pale in tone. Zen has round golden yellow eyes that are mesmerizing when looked upon for a short time. He adorns a very standard Onmitsukidō uniform, which most Executive Militia, Patrol Corps, and Detention Unit members where. Unlike the Executive Militia, however, the patrol Corps don't wear head coverings as to distinguish one another from a distance by unique hair styles and colors. It has no visible white undergarments and the sash is dark as opposed to white in Gotei 13 uniforms. They also wear no sandals, but long jika-tabi instead, and tight bands are on the legs and arms to keep the clothes from moving too much, which both are for silence of movement.

Personality: Zen is the epitome of a playful spirit, constantly making duty a game, or responsibility a joke. He is a skilled warrior and accomplishes tasks given to him, which his higher ups have noticed, but to other units within the Onmitsukidō and members of the Gotei 13, he comes off as incompetent and a slacker. The biggest mistake people make are doubting Zen and labeling him as unskilled or not a threat. He has always struggled with making friends, always taking the joke too far, or coming on a little strong in general. Always optimistic and playful, he also eases the tension, which in the Onmitsukidō is a welcome relief to some of his comrades. He takes threats as a joke and doesn't think much of loyalties, but is formidable when it comes to anything unfair, having felt the pain of unjust events in his past. His line of right and wrong may seem blurred sometimes, but all-in-all Zen's main goal is to uphold justice and fairness.

Abilities: Zen's fighting style uses a lot of weaker attacks over a long period of time, wearing away at them until he wins with his superior stamina and evasive tactics. He is fluid and dance like on the battle field, surpassing most opponents with his speed and nimble movements.

-Zanjutsu Expert: Zen handles his tanto very masterfully, using it's shorter blade for quicker and closer strikes. He is a master assassin, using his immense speed and quick nimble strikes to surprise and wear away at opponents, those who are not able to defend themselves perish before they know he is there. Defensively he can take a few blows blade to blade, but doesn't have much strength to back it up and relies on evasive tactics, parrying most blows directed at him.

-Kido Practioner: He knows very little kido, aside from a few binding kido to slow or distract his enemies. The highest level of Bakudo he can perform is #26 Kyokkō - not very masterfully. While the highest level of Hado he can perform is #4 Byakurai - barely powerful against 4th seat officers in the Gotei 13. Most of the kido he uses commonly, such as Bakudo #8 Seki, #21 Sekienton, Hakufuku, and #26 Sekienton, are all used for escaping and evading tactics sparingly.

-Hakudo Master: He is very proficient in the art of hand-to-hand combat, easily fending off a Lieutenant class Soul Reaper and possibly keeping his own with a lower class Captain. Zen studied in the art of Reiryoku points - pools of spirit energy in the body that allows superior strength, speed, the use of Kido, and even handling their Zanpakuto. If done correctly and on an opponent of equal or lesser power then himself, he could possibly disable them from using most of their power.

-Hoho Expert: As a member of the Onmitsukidō - especially the Patrol Corps - Zen is a master of Hoho, easily out-maneuvering Lieutenant class Soul Reapers and matching speed with lower level Captain class. His ability to use Shunpo is so quick in repetition that his image barely comes into view before he is gone again. His stamina when it comes to speed seems almost endless, in actuality it does have a limit, but it's one he would only really reach when his opponent's endurance is greater then his barrage of quick strikes.

-Average Reiatsu/Great Reiryoku: Zen's Reiatsu level hardly classifies his power-level, comparable to that of a lower seated officer. His Reiryoku on the other hand is far surpassing that of a mere lieutenant and could be matched by only Captain class Soul Reapers. His Reiatsu is a static green and causes the sensation of light stings when in contact with it, normally accompanied by laps of wind.

Zanpakuto: Kazebagami (Fang of the Wind God 風の神様の牙). Zen's Zanpakuto takes the shape of a tanto, a shorter looking Katana - about half the size - and resides in it's dark green sheath horizontal to his hips, tied at his lower back. The hilt is a gold and green criss-crossed grip, the tsuba is a gold circle with two swirling designs cut out of each side of the blade.

Zanpakuto Spirirt: Kazebagami is a furious spirit, taking on the form of a mighty dragon like serpent with currents of wind constantly encircling him. He is about 40 feet in length and about 5 feet wide all the way around. It adorns shimmering green scales along the entirety of it's body, atop these scales are golden kanji depicting the four cardinal directions located atop his head above his eyes, which have black sclera and golden iris', while it's pupils are like that of most reptiles, slits. Along the length of his body are golden markings; the giant Zanpakuto spirit has the ability for flight, apart from his manipulation over wind related themes. Kazebagami is a regal spirit in it's words and ideals, but overall comes across as very malicious with his thirst for battle and pitting his power against others. Sometimes Kazebagami's thirst for battle causes Zen to feel uneasy about releasing him in battle, sometimes choosing to use his own skills when he doesn't feel like Kazebagami is necessarily needed. Kazebagami thinks Zen to be weak, but lends him his power in Shikai merely to satisfy his own malicious intent.

Inner World: "Temple of the Wind God" (Kazenokami no Shinden 風の神の神殿). Zen's inner world whilst his Zanpakuto is in it's sealed state is a floating island in the sky, a layer of clouds demonstrating how high the island is, are located about 50 feet below the bottom of the flying landmass. On the island, which is only about 100 feet in any direction from one end to the other; in the midst of the island is a wooded mountain. Trees are densely scattered on the island, on all the incline of the mountain. If you were to scale the side of the grass and tree covered mountain, you'd eventually come to a grand ancient Japanese style temple at the top, 4 sets of stairs located on each side of the temple facing the 4 cardinal directions are present when you reach the entrances to the temple. Once to the top of the long stair cases lies a door at each set, located on it is the symbol for that cardinal direction. Once you enter the temple, it resumes it's feudal Japanese style shrine theme. Jade and gold forming the entirety of the structure, large columns lining the building, statues of serpents made of gold and jade littering the courtyard and depicted on the walls. If you were to travel to the top of the empty temple, vacant of all worldly items and devoid of any life, then you would come to the roof of the temple where rest an enormous serpent like dragon, this is the spirit Kazebagami whom rules over this domain as the God of the Wind. Here he judges and teaches his wielder, guiding and assessing their progress, while filling their head with his ideals of blood lust and battle. Once Shikai is activated, all the gold in the entire temple begins to glow faintly, the wind begins to swirl around the floating island, causing the trees to sway as the gust sweeps around them, and finally the mighty Kazebagami takes flight, soaring through the space around the temple, normally within the current circling the landmass.

Zanpakuto Type: Wind

Shikai: Kazebagami's release command is "Lunge, Kazebagami!" ("Tosshin, Kazebagami!" 突進, 風の神様の牙) and is spoken whilst Zen unsheaths it, or when the circumstance won't allow it, he'll hold the dull side against his forearm horizontally out in front of him and call out the release command. The sword sucks in a large swirl of wind, enveloping Zen, the wind suddenly surges back outwards, sending a gust cascading over the battlefield. Kazebagami no longer remains in a tanto form, but now is in a gauntlet like form around Zen's forearm over his tight black uniform. The Zanpakuto, in this Shikai state, is golden and wraps around Zen's entire forearm ending a little before his elbow joint and at about his wrist. It has engravings that depict wind and a serpent coiling around it, it's tail starting at the part nearest his elbow, then wrapping around the weapon ending at the underside of his wrist with an open serpent mouth, an opening in the mouth itself from which the hidden blade of Kazebagami releases and retracts, the blade itself only about a foot in length when exposed.

-When in this state Kazebagami lends Zen the ability to manipulate the mighty force of wind, which he can use to increase his own speed, send sturdy blasts of air at opponents, increase the strength of his strikes when performing hakudo, and overall forming small pockets of hair for defense.

-Zen's shikai has a secondary ability which pertains to the blade hidden within Kazebagami's arm gauntlet form. This blade, which is retractable and electable at Zen's whim, has the ability known as "Chissikamu" (Suffocating Bite 窒息かむ). Every time Zen's blade makes contact with his opponent it saps the oxygen from the nearby blood cells. This tactic may seem pretty useless with the amount of blood one may have, but with every strike the symptoms begin to grow more apparent; staggered breath, blurred vision, fatigue, accelerated heart rate, etc. With enough strikes with Kazebagami, Zen could even render a target unconscious or even dead.

Bankai: Not yet achieved.
